Selena Gomez has taken a break from luxurious dates with adorable superstars to talk about her professional future – and she wants it to include music.

Speaking to E! News at a press preview of Hotel Transylvania – one of three movies Selena filmed this year – the 19-year old said she misses recording and hopes to get started on a new record soon.

“I want to be able to write about things I’ve never talked about before and tell a story with this album because I’ve never actually had time to go in and do that. I’ve never worked on a song for more than two days,” Gomez said.

So does this mean Selena will be opening up to the world about Justin Bieber? Not exactly.

“It’s not going to be necessarily, ‘Here’s my tell-all,'” she says. “It’s going to be more of something that people could say, ‘It could be that or it could be this or it could that.’ At the end of the day I only make my music because I want it be really fun and if I could have people dance to it, relate to it, have a good time, that’s all I want.”

Mentioning that she’s inspired these days by Jason Mraz and Parachute, Selena added that she also plans to reunite with Rock Mafia and Toby Gad. She then plans to go on tour in promotion of the CD.

Katie Holmes has not only reclaimed her life now that she’s filed for divorce from Tom Cruise – she’s also taking back her name. Ever since the two first got together in 2005, the “Mission Impossible” star has insisted on referring to his wife as “Kate,” even though neither her friends nor her family has ever called her that. And it clearly was a name Holmes herself did not identify with because she never went by it professionally, despite her husband’s consistent use of it every time he mentioned her publicly. In fact, in her statement announcing the split, Holmes’ lawyer said, “This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family.” Cruise’s response? “Kate has filed for divorce.”

It first began in April 2006, when Holmes, now 33, was still pregnant with Suri, but not yet married to Cruise. During an interview with All Headline News, he explained, “Katie is a young girl’s name. Her name is Kate now – she’s a child-bearing woman.” At the time, it was also reported that Holmes had agreed upon the name change “after discussing it with Tom” and as a result “all friends and family now call her Kate.”

But that wasn’t so. A few months later, at her November 2006 wedding to Cruise in Italy, Holmes’ father Martin – a lawyer who reportedly was very instrumental in helping his youngest daughter plan her sudden split from the Scientologist – toasted the newlyweds in a sweet speech at their rehearsal dinner … and referred to Holmes as Katie. “I respect Tom for the commitment he has made to provide happiness and love to Katie,” gushed Martin. Even one of Holmes’ closest confidants, her stylist Jeanne Yang, called her good pal “Katie” in a joint interview the two ladies did with Elle magazine to promote their Holmes & Yang clothing line in 2010.

The only person to publicly call the former “Dawson’s Creek” star the name that Cruise, 50, preferred was his longtime friend Brooke Shields, who was invited to the couple’s lavish wedding in a move that seemed like an attempt to extend an olive branch. Remember when Cruise called her out for “drug” use after she admitted she used anti-depressants to battle postpartum depression following the birth of her first daughter? (He said she should have simply taken vitamins). “Kate called me herself to invite us to the wedding,” Shields said at the time. “It would have felt like a slap to say no.”

As much as Cruise pushed “Kate,” it just didn’t stick, not just in her personal life, but her professional one as well. On every movie poster for the films she has made since getting together with Cruise, she has been billed as “Katie Holmes.” The same goes for all the covers of the fashion magazines she has graced: They, too, spell out “Katie Holmes.”

By filing for divorce, Katie is also shedding another unwanted name: Mrs. Tom Cruise.

The NBC fairytale-inspired cop show has been renewed for a second season, NBC confirmed to Access Hollywood on Friday.

Starring David Giuntoli and Russell Hornsby as detectives Nick Burkardt and Hank Griffin, and Silas Weir-Mitchell as Eddie Monroe (a “blutbat” aka the big, not-so-bad wolf), the show has managed to find an audience on Friday nights at 9/8c on the network.

“This is a cop show and its small twist is that my perpetrators now can often be monsters,” David, who plays a descendant of the Brothers Grimm, told Access Hollywood last fall. “It’s subtle, but it creates a whole weight to it. It’s kind of beautiful in its simplicity.”

“Grimm” managed to pull in around 5.6 million viewers in early March, per The Hollywood Reporter.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Rihanna covers up her see-through top on the streets of in New York City March 12, 2012Caption Rihanna covers up her see-through top on the streets of in New York City March 12, 2012Rihanna made headlines earlier this week when she stepped out in a see-through top and no bra, and the music superstar says she was simply embracing the style of her shirt.

“Waking up in the morning and deciding to get dressed is probably the longest part of my day. I have too many clothes, I have too many options. Dressing is always so spontaneous, it always depends on the mood, plus the occasion, plus your little badass daring touch that I like to put on my outfit every time,” Rihanna told Access Hollywood correspondent Jill Martin on the set of a photo shoot for Vita Coco’s new flavor, Tropical Fruit by Rihanna, in New York City. “It’s always borderline tough, yet a little sexy sometimes.”

Despite all the attention she gets for her clothes – or sometimes lack thereof – Rihanna said she’s not dressing to make news.

“I don’t do things for the response or for the controversy,” she continued. “I just live my life.”

The 24-year-old singer explained that if an item shows off her body, she’s fine with it.

“The clothes that I like and the clothes that I’m attracted to sometimes are sheer, sometimes are bold, sometimes they’re very daring,” she explained. “I’m OK with buying a sheer shirt, because if I bought it sheer, that means I was OK with you seeing through it. Whether it was my bra or whatever else, I wear it my way.”

And Rihanna’s way might include a little nudity.

“Someone else might wear it with a bra, someone else might wear it with a tank top, someone might wear it with booby tape, someone might wear it with none, and I happen to fall in that category,” the singer said with a laugh.

She admitted that stepping out sans bra isn’t that uncommon for her.

“I get caught a lot of times without wearing a bra… but it was never my intention. If I don’t wear a bra, that means I didn’t want to wear a bra,” she added. “It’s not usually for attention, it’s just because it would mess up the outfit completely.”

On March 23, Jennifer Lawrence will bring one of the most intriguing, tough-minded, well-written young heroines to the big screen in The Hunger Games.

So you can imagine our surprise when the actress, in a featured interview with this month’s Parade, compared Katniss Everdeen to one of the least interesting, most wooden and rarely-dressed individuals out there, Kim Kardashian.

Why do you think so many people relate to the books, the magazine asked the rising star? Replied Lawrence:

“I was watching the Kardashian girl getting divorced, and that’s a tragedy for anyone. But they’re using it for entertainment, and we’re watching it. The books hold up a terrible kind of mirror: This is what our society could be like if we became desensitized to trauma and to each other’s pain.”

Hear that, people?!? Continue to tune in to E! every week on Sunday nights and we’ll soon be sending our teenagers out to kill each other all in the name of sport! Just something to consider.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Sofia Vergara attends The Paley Center for Media’s PaleyFest 2012 honoring ‘Modern Family’ at Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, Calif., on March 14, 2012Caption Sofia Vergara will head to New York City in early April to host “Saturday Night Live,” and the gorgeous actress can’t wait to step onto the legendary stage.

“I’m very happy, very excited because I never thought I was going to be part of that TV show,” Sofia told Access Hollywood at PaleyFest 2012 on Wednesday in Los Angeles. “I think it’s an American tradition. It’s a TV show that the whole world knows, so for me, it’s an honor to be part of that group of actors that are known for their excellence.”

While the “Modern Family” vixen is ready for any task the cast throws at her, she’s in the dark as to what characters they’ll ask her to play on the famed NBC late night sketch show.

“I don’t know yet what they have in mind,” she told Access. “I’m going to go to New York a week before Saturday and we rehearse and they come up with the sketches, so, it’s like a whole week of work.”

As for “Modern Family,” the cast recently filmed an episode at The Happiest Place on Earth – something the show’s younger actors thoroughly enjoyed.

“It was amazing because it was the whole cast and we were all enjoying Disneyland and the kids had the most amazing time,” she said. “It was very organized. And then I got to get on all the rides without making the line, so, it was fantastic!”
